COVID-19 Preparation at Bongolo

BlogPost-NoFear

MedSend grant recipients Zach and Jen O’Connor are surgeons serving in Gabon. We reached out to them to find out more about the COVID-19 preparations at their hospital.

Dr. Jen reports: “In Gabon, there are  21 cases in the capitol. Our hospital has put a huge plan into place as well as an area to treat up to 15 patients with covid-19.  Our borders are closed and the embassy arranged an evacuation flight for Tuesday.  We decided the Lord really wanted us to stay. So we are in this together!”

In this video, Dr. Zach provides an update on the COVID-19 prep at Bongolo:

I’m Dr. Jennifer O’Connor’s mom. Over the last couple of weeks covid arrived at Bongolo Hospital, Gabon. Many patients are ill with covid and non covid illnesses. Supplies and medications are limited, hospital funding is being depleted, and providers and staff are sick. Please get the word out to pray for everyone at Bongolo. Thank you for all Medsend has done financially to keep Jen and Zach, and my grandson Caleb in Gabon in God’s service.
