MedSend supports US healthcare missionaries wanting to go and serve on the field in two important ways; relieving the burden of costly student loan payments and providing access to spiritual, relational, and emotional support to extend length of service. We also provide funding for local doctors in these developing nations to receive advanced medical training in Christ-focused residency programs, producing highly skilled Family Medicine doctors and Surgeons ready to take on leadership roles in their communities.

For many missionaries in the past, they have had to wait ten or more years to go to the field because of the weight of medical school debt. During that time, they could have been on the field saving lives, sharing the hope of the Gospel, and building long lasting relationships. Current research also shows that medical missionaries serving in dangerous and low-resource communities are acutely susceptible to burnout, moral injury, and PTSD. MedSend works to eliminate these barriers and activate healthcare workers to go and serve longer.

The ripple effect of your generosity cannot be overstated. One grant recipient who can go and stay longer will impact hundreds of thousands of lives. One National Scholar who receives advanced training to become a physician who cares for the body and the soul can become a leader in their workplace and transform the healthcare system of a nation.

Will you help MedSend break down barriers and build new pathways to hope and healing?
