Chris is the Regional Director of Joni and Friends, overseeing 8 area ministry offices east of the Mississippi. Having worked in the ministry for over 18 years, Chris loves to speak about the importance of God’s heart for those who suffer, especially those with disabilities. She has led numerous trips to third world countries where hundreds of wheelchairs were hand-fitted to individuals who otherwise would never be able to afford a chair. She is also a certified leader for the Beyond Suffering Curriculum, a Joni and Friends groundbreaking course of study created to transform the way Christians view God’s plan for disability, pain and suffering. Prior to working for Joni and Friends, Chris organized and led medical-mission trips to Honduras, working with World Gospel Outreach. She and her husband live in Fort Mill, SC and they have three grown sons, two of whom are physicians.
