Dr. Audrey Banza, a MedSend National Scholar from the Democratic Republic of Congo, is grateful for the MedSend scholarship that makes it possible for him to receive training. Dr. Banza is serving at SIM Galmi Hospital, Niger in the General Surgery program.

“It is a pleasure to express my gratitude for your generous financial support to my training here at SIM Galmi Hospital in Niger.

From Democratic Republic of Congo where I am from, I had been dreaming about being a surgeon with a kind of humanitarian vocation, willing to go in remote areas, helping people in need there. To make it possible, I needed first a high quality training that I could not afford personally. God’s grace led me to this residency where I could combine an excellent surgical training with discipleship, as a follower of Christ.

As a 5th year resident now, I realize the great impact of this investment in lives of so many patients and their families, as they can have good surgical care, love, compassion and the Gospel as a seed planted in their hearts. Be assured that your generous donation has a real positive impact, and I am really thankful for that.

I would like also to contribute in this field by training other young African doctors as surgeons and disciples, as God will lead me after my graduation. Remembering Luke 10:2, ‘the harvest is plentiful, but the workers few…’

May God bless you, the MedSend organization, and your families and thank you once more.”

Thank you for your support of MedSend. Your gift provides training for national scholars like Audrey, equipping him to serve the most vulnerable in his home country, providing medical care and sharing the love of Christ.
