MedSend’s National Scholars Program Named to ROI Ministry’s Top 10 for 2024
Fort Mill, SC – December 2024 – MedSend is honored to announce that its National Scholars Program has been recognized by ROI Ministry as one of the “Top 10 Ministries” for 2024. This prestigious designation highlights organizations that deliver exceptional outcomes per dollar invested, advancing the gospel and meeting critical needs in impactful ways.
ROI Ministry’s recognition is based on the program’s remarkable efficiency and effectiveness in equipping Christian doctors in developing countries to provide both medical care and spiritual leadership. The National Scholars Program, now in its 10th year, trains and supports doctors in countries across Africa and Asia. These doctors serve in mission hospitals and often lead in areas with limited access to healthcare and the gospel.
In fiscal year 2023, MedSend supported 55 National Scholars and their families, enabling these doctors to serve in 18 countries. The program generated an estimated 412,500 medical consultations and treatments, frequently accompanied by prayer and the message of Christ. At a program cost of just $3.59 per person served, this equates to approximately 278 individuals receiving life-changing medical care for every $1,000 donated. Additionally, over 14,500 individuals made decisions for Christ through this ministry.
