Dr. Lakasia Takes Holistic Compassionate Care in Meru to New Level
“I believe compassionate care is about healthcare workers equipping themselves with the skills needed to render quality healthcare to the patients. While working in Meru, I have encountered tons of patients with lifestyle diseases. I treat most of these. Part of the feared complications are heart failure, so the recommendation is cardiac evaluation. This has been missing. In the last 3 months, I have embarked on equipping myself with echocardiography skill. Currently, we perform echocardiograms on an average of 30 patients per week!” he shares.
The faculty and staff where Dr. Lakasia trains believe his commitment to mastering this new diagnostic skill will save lives through early detection and intervention.
