Happy Easter! I love everything about this season—except the candy-filled, plastic, and stuffed distractions that often accompany it.
Without Easter, the Christian faith would not exist. It is the heart of our belief—the blessing and the redemption story. My pastor in Connecticut used to ask every Easter, “How do we know that Jesus rose from the tomb?” His answer? It’s revealed in the transformed lives of His followers. Jesus promised to send One who would remind us of Easter’s truth and guide us on our journey.
John 14:26 says:
“But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things.” (AMPC)
I know that Jesus rose from the grave because I walk with Him daily. I experience His presence in both the extraordinary and the everyday moments of life.
I also love how Easter coincides with spring where I live. What once appeared dead bursts into life with vibrant colors—a reminder of the new life available to all through the One who conquered the grave.
This Easter season, I encourage you to share the reason for your hope with those around you.
He is risen… He is risen indeed!
