Dr. Cordero’s mission is to equip local leaders—pastors, community workers, and healthcare professionals—with the tools they need to care for those struggling with trauma and mental health challenges. Through annual visits to mission sites, she builds long-term relationships of trust, ensuring sustainable impact.
“We teach, train, and equip, but more than that, we come alongside local leaders, providing personal support so they can stay strong in their calling,” she explains. “Over time, they stop seeing me as a foreigner and instead as family in Christ, walking with them through their journey.”

The Longevity Project: Supporting Those Who Serve
Even those who care for others need support themselves. That’s why MedSend created The Longevity Project, an initiative designed to provide professional, spiritual, and relational health resources for healthcare missionaries.
One key aspect of this initiative is MedRefresh, a retreat offering rest and renewal for medical professionals like Dr. Cordero. “As a caregiver all the time, coming to a place where I could receive care was amazing,” she says. “It helped me reflect on what I needed to stay strong for my ministry. Medrefresh reminded me that I’m not alone—there are others on this journey, and God is with us.”
